In fact, experienced pilots can fly this Rev in winds as light as 6 MPH―you’ll be surprised by how little wind it needs to stay airborne.

Piloting the Reflex XX Super Tarantula is akin to playing a finely tuned instrument, where every movement is met with sharp, precise, and almost mechanical responsiveness. Strategic venting of both the central and outer sections of the sail minimize billowing and reduces drag during reverse flight, virtually eliminating the risk of wing flips from excessive reverse control. This Rev boasts faster reverse and lateral movements―it loves to slide―and shifting its ‘sweet spot’ to favor stronger winds means that pilots can now perform tricks such as Reflex floats and 3D catch & throws, typically reserved for lighter breezes, even when the wind picks up.

In loss of control situations, when the lines slacken as a result of a stall, this cutting-edge feature shifts the kite into “Auto Pilot” mode, where it self-stabilizes and glides back to the center of the wind window like a paper plane. Reflex extends the kite’s flight range, giving it an uncanny ability to float and glide beyond the traditional boundaries of the wind window―it can even glide toward or away from the pilot!
