$389.00
Known for his superhuman strength, Kintaro or “Golden Boy” is a staple of Japanese folklore. The legend goes that Kintaro was raised by his mother on Mount Ashigara where he spent his days befriending wildlife, sumo wrestling with bears, and even fighting demons. Eventually his talents were discovered by Minamoto no Raiko and he eventually served along side samurai Watanabe no Tsuna as one of Raiko’s Four Guardian Kings.
Locked in a ferocious battle, this print captures Kintaro’s famous strength as he wrestles a gargantuan carp.
